Responsibilities

Looking to further develop your practical skills and gain some valuable work experience?

 

Ogilvy Social.lab is offering 5 - 6 month Strategy internship to curious minds who are passionate about creative digital communications. We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds:

 

  • Students or graduates with degrees in Advertising, Business, Marketing or Communications
  • Students or graduates in other fields with experience in strategic thinking and rigorous writing
  • People with relevant experience working online or creating content who understand the basics of digital and social brand building

 

The trainee will support the members of the Strategy department in the daily execution of different tasks. They will learn on the job while working on a number of clients' and teams' projects.

 

The responsibilities of the Strategic planner Intern comprise, amongst other things, the following:

 

In autonomy:

 - Economic and marketing research for different clients/prospects

- Competitor analysis (benchmarks, competitive reviews, best practices)

- Consumer and trends research

- Consumer/brand/category insight research

 

Under supervision:

- Creative brief writing, creative reviews

- Writing of strategic recommendations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:

 

  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English
  • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Be curious and questioning of consumer behavior
  • Be digitally savvy and up to date with social media developments
  • Have an awareness of the basic elements of brand and campaign planning
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Be motivated and a fast learner
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, collaborative and flexible style
  • Enjoy working in a multicultural team
  • Eligible to work as a trainee in Belgium
